About Us

The solution starts with us! It is the best way to describe the team and the project we are working on. We are strongly convinced that the success of any initiative depends on everyone involved. There is no insufficient contribution, as each one definitely matters. NOLA FOR LIFE is not about personal ambitions or aspirations. It is a community effort aimed at decreasing the crime rate in New Orleans and making the city much safer and more prosperous. Together with local government, charitable, religious, and community organizations, residents, and volunteers, we work on effective initiatives that can change the lives of many people for the better.

Currently, there are five major projects that are focused not only on the improvement of the current situation but also on changing the tendency in the future. Is it easy to do that? Absolutely not, but the team effort is exactly what we are looking for. Here are the projects we are currently working on.

  • Stop the Shooting
  • Invest in Prevention
  • Promote Jobs and Opportunity
  • Get Involved and Rebuild Neighborhoods
  • Improve the NOPD
  • At NOLA FOR LIFE, we believe in the cause and effect connection, so to improve the situation, we start with the analysis of the potential triggers. Thus, by collecting information about the residents of New Orleans, their problems, and their struggles, we can single out the most common reasons for committing crimes. In the overwhelming majority of cases, the absence of jobs, no future perspectives, poverty, and poor education cause people to make wrong choices. The main goal of our team is to cooperate with local government and other organizations to hear people and provide them with decent solutions.

Each initiative requires time and consistency, but the results they can potentially trigger are 100% worth the effort. For the time of the NOLA FOR LIFE movement functioning, we can observe significant changes that take place in the city. The crime rate dropped by 20%, which is a perfect start and the reason to keep on working. Finding resources, encouraging people’s involvement, and generating new ideas are the aspects we are currently concentrating on.
